Junction Summary Report for better Model Output Analysis in InfoSWMM and InfoSWMM SA

The Junction Summary report table presents a summary of some junction result variables that could assist the modeler to easily analyze the drainage system. Using this report results alone, the user can easily identify junction (s) that have flooded and duration of the flooding, the maximum water depth that a junction has attained within the reporting duration and the time of occurrence of this maximum water depth, and some other essential parameters.

The following variables are displayed on the junction depth summary report for all or selected junctions depending on the report scope ( i.e., show complete report/graph, select elements, use Domain, use selection set, use provided element ID(s)) chosen on the Output Report and Graph dialog box. The summary is provided for the entire reporting length specified in the simulation options - dates tab.

ID Junction node identifier
Maximum Depth Maximum water depth achieved at the junction within the simulation duration
Maximum HGL Maximum hydraulic head attained by the junction within the simulation duration
Maximum HGL Head Class This compares head at the node with link invert, link crown, and node rim elevation. The conditions could be:

· Below Link Invert - if head is lower than link invert elevation

· Below Link Crown - if head is lower than link crown but higher than link invert

· Below Maximum Depth - if head is above link crown but lower than node rim elevation

· Surcharged - if head is higher than node rim elevation

Max. Depth Day-Time Number of days (i.e., elapsed day) since the simulation start time and the time of that day at which the maximum water depth occurred at the junction.
Total Inflow Volume Total volume of flow that entered the node during the simulation duration.
Flow Volume Difference This is the difference between inflow and outflow of the node.
Total Surcharge Time Total duration of time that the node has been surcharged.
Max. Surcharge Height Over Crown Maximum surcharge depth measured above the crown of the connected conduits.
Total Flood Time This refers to the duration of time that flow is lost from the system by flooding.
Maximum Flood Rate The maximum rate at which water has flooded from the node.
Max. Flood Day-Time Number of hours, counted from the day when maximum water depth occurred at the junction, to the time of occurrence of maximum flood rate.
Maximum Ponded Volume This is the maximum volume of water ponded at the node. It is applicable if the "Allow Ponding" option is selected on the Simulation Options page and if the ponding area is defined.
